Willy 'Woo Woo' Wong Tennis Court

COURT CONDITIONS

Not terrible. The court is surrounded on all sides by Chinatown, including mahjong playing, badminton, senior citizens doing tai chi, and a handful of old school SF Chinatown buildings that make it easy to forget the century that you're actually playing tennis. This court is SF tennis at its best (depending upon what you're looking for in your SF tennis game)!

NOTES

Unfortunately this court is an endangered species. An upcoming improvement project to the park will eliminate this tennis court. Sad. So get here while you can!

Joseph Lee Tennis Court (defunct)

NUMBER OF COURTS:

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

23, 24, 44, 54

COURT CONDITIONS

Null and void. This court no longer exists. There's a community center and what looks like an outdoor auditorium that has been built overtop of the court. Light a candle in memory.

NOTES

Hey San Francisco! Update your tennis maps accordingly. First Ed Lee. And now Joseph Lee. RIP.

NUMBER OF COURTS:

1

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

1, 38

COURT CONDITIONS

Not terrible. Saggy net; one half of court has two deep cracks which sends the ball bouncing at a funny angle if it bounces into them.

NOTES

The court is located in a park next to a couple of basketball courts. Lots of kids and families doing suburban stuff.
